In-House Classes are scheduled when we have at least 8 people enrolled. Please call 602-996-3152 or email us to reserve a spot!

Most Classes are scheduled in the evening and can be moved to morning or afternoons when schedules permit. 

Customized Classes are available for you and seven of your friends or family. Tell us what you would like to learn and we’ll create a class menu just for you.  Celebrate with a close group of friends.  Great idea for bridal showers, birthday parties, company team-building classes, holiday parties. Almost anything can bring people together to cook and sample the creation of food!!

Just Great Food is a catering and Personal Chef Service Company. You will be creating in a commercial kitchen just like at a restaurant.   Classes  are 8 to 10 students in the kitchen . All classes are hands-on starting with discussion about the recipes or theme for the class. Then everyone creates together. Finally, all recipes are sampled by all students

You can purchase an apron from Just Great Food or bring your own

Classes are pre-paid with registration. Sorry no refunds. You may cancel with 48-hour notice and apply the fee toward a future class. Just Great Food reserves the right to re-schedule classes based on number of participants registered.  Gift Certificates are available.

Summer Appetizers

Easy Appetizers to make ahead and enjoy with your guests. Grilled Shrimp Wontons, Stuffed Mushroom with Crab Meat and Cheese, Salmon Mousse on English Cucumbers, Proscuitto with Fig Compote and Goat Cheese on crostini

Off the Grill

Learn Marinades for meats and fish. We’ll make salmon with maple apricot glaze, Lime Ginger Grilled Chicken with cous-cous and roasted red pepper sauce, Grilled Hawaiian baby back ribs and grilled vegetable medley finishing with grilled fruits over raspberry sorbet

Knife Skills

We’ll learn the basics of knife cutting and how to dice, chop,  mince and slice fruits and vegetables. Using the correct knife can make the job easier and safer. We’ll finish up with Vegetable Stir-Fry over rice noodles and fresh Fruit Salad with Champagna ginger drizzle and mint.


The Tart  

Learn to make dough the easy way and find out how versatile it is. We’ll make Thai Chicken and Vegetable tarts, Spinach with caramelized Onions and Bacon tart, Grilled Asparagus Proscuitto and Fontina cheese tart, and for dessert a Strawberry Almond Cream tart .

Hand Made Pasta with quick sauces  

We’re making pasta by hand in this class. Orechetti pasta with Broccoli Rabe chopped Tomatoes and Garlic, Pechy pasta with Olive Oil, Mushrooms and Peccerino cheese, Fettucine with Proscuitto Ham, peas and cream sauce. Dessert is assorted Berries with aged Balsamic reduction and Cream.


Italian Appetizers  

Easy appetizers for you to enjoy with your guests. Learn traditional Bruschetta with Mozzarella and Tomato. Proscuitto wrapped Melon, Belgian endive with olive and sun dried tomato Tampinade and Portabella Mushroom stuffed with Feta cheese, Capers and Basil.   Umm!  We’ll finish with Espresso Shaved Ice layered with Whipped Cream.        

Phyllo and Puff Pastry  

This is a great class to practice techniques using phyllo dough and puff pastry. We’ll make Brie with Apricot sauce wrapped in puff pastry, puff pastry cups filled with Carmelized Onion Custard, Spanikopita (spinach and feta in phyllo), mini Chicken and Mushroom purses, Salmon and Spinach in phyllo and traditional Baklava for dessert.


Of Asian Flair

We’ll make Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps, grilled Tofu and Asian Vegetable stir-fry, Beef and Broccoli in Hoisin sauce and Brown Rice with sesame seeds and green onions.
